Dance Instructor, AUHS
Music is not new to Susan Romero. She has always sang in the church choir and played handbells. Through her elementary and high school years, she played string bass, viola, piano and organ. She was in plays, choirs, orchestras, musicals or the pit (orchestra) all through high school. While attending Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, she sang and toured with the Concordia Singers throughout the United States.
Susan also participated in volleyball and track and was even on the swim team 1 year. She graduated Concordia in 1987 with majors in Physical Education and English. She went on to get her Masters in School Counseling. She has been teaching at Anderson Union High School since 1991. She has been married to Randy since 1992 and has a beautiful daughter attending CSU Long Beach.
Susan was a late bloomer in dance. She didn’t really start until 17 years ago when her daughter showed interest. Mrs. Grandell and Mrs. Romero even danced together at a local studio for a couple of numbers in the past. Susan still sings on her church worship team and takes private ballet lessons!
